The students spent the afternoon looking at Singapore Laws. They sorted them into categories based on their perspectives and then ranked them in order of importance to the people of Singapore. In groups, the students looked at the positive and negative consequences of each of the laws.
The students spent the afternoon Inquiring into one type of Government. After a reading a book called ' The Composition' the students identified traits about the way a country had been governed and began asking questions related to that type of leadership/governing style. The students then asked if they could reenact some of those leadership traits of the dictatorship. In groups, they performed role plays and skits illustrating what they knew and what a DICTATORSHIP looks like.
Grade 4 spent the morning learning about online DATABASES and how to use Britannica for Kids as a research tool. Mrs Grant showed the students how to use the various leveled research tabs and also how to find information about our current U.O.I. Thank you Mrs Grant for helping us be successful Inquirers!

Our Central Idea for this Unit is “Governments Influence Behaviour”. To go in depth, we will look at “The purpose of governments”, “How governments are structured” and “Types of governments”.
Hello and welcome to Grade 4.2. For those of you who do not know me, I am Ms Rehu and I am very excited about this teaching year of 2016-17. The main purpose of this blog is to inform students and parents of classroom learning. This includes reminders and review of daily learning as well as an opportunity to reflect and comment.
