Today the students in G4.2 participated in a math session with Mr Pinchbeck. They were learning to become familiar with the volume of a centimeter cube. They looked at what the word volume means in relation to Math and how to measure the volume in the absence of the units of measure. Following that, they explored centimeter cubes and found items that shared similar measurements. e.g a large blueberry is 1 cubic centimeter. Finally, Mr Pinchbeck asked them to find out how many cubic centimeters it would take to fill a small cup. They had to convince one another using various strategies and math related vocab.
